Teesom continues to evolve with new updates designed to enhance user experience, improve access control, and fix critical bugs. This latest update brings important improvements to User Access permissions, QuickBooks integration, and ShipStation integration, alongside several bug fixes and enhancements. Here’s a summary of the changes:
User Access Improvements
Enhanced Invoice Editing Capabilities
Previously, invoices sent to QuickBooks were locked from editing. With this update, users now have greater flexibility to modify invoices in specific statuses. The changes include:
- Invoice status can now only be changed by users with the appropriate permissions.
- Invoice editing is allowed even after being sent to QuickBooks, provided the user has appropriate permissions.
- The previous “Invoice Edit Allowed” setting has been replaced with a more refined approach that allows the admin to define permissions which can allow or disallow editing an based on the status, ie:
- Work In Progress (WIP)
- Completed
- Shipped / Picked Up
- Improved access control ensures that invoice editing permissions are reliably enforced based on a user’s pre-existing access settings.
Permissions which restrict a user’s ability to change a company’s subscription package has been introduced (only the Company Owner may change the subscription).
These changes ensure a more intuitive and efficient workflow, allowing users to maintain accurate and up-to-date invoices.

New Order Messaging for QuickBooks Integration
A new message has been added to clearly indicate whether an order has been successfully exported to QuickBooks. This prevents confusion and ensures that users are always aware of an order’s QuickBooks status.
Bug Fixes
Work Day Exceptions
- Resolved an issue that prevented the creation of new work day exceptions.
Email Template Editing
- Fixed a bug where users encountered issues saving edited email templates.
Catalog Auto Updater Tool
- Addressed an issue affecting automatic updates to the product catalog.
Purchase Order (PO) Adjustments
- Resolved a bug where removing an item by setting the quantity to zero did not correctly adjust the catalog count.
These fixes enhance system reliability and improve the overall user experience.
ShipStation Enhancements
Significant improvements have been made to ShipStation integration, addressing multiple issues and enhancing usability.
Credential & Connection Fixes
- Fixed an issue where users could not save credentials or test the connection successfully.
Shipment Cost Adjustments
- Shipping amounts added to orders will now be recorded as cost only, ensuring that retail pricing is set to $0.00, unless the option to automatically add a charge to the invoice is selected.
Item Selection & Shipping Improvements
- Fixed an issue causing the random resizing of the quantity input box.
- Corrected logic for selecting/removing all items at the job level.
- Resolved problems with quantity selection to ensure accurate shipping calculations.
Print Pack Slip Fixes
- Resolved an issue that caused blank new pages when printing packing slips.
Package Handling Enhancements
- When adding a new package, the focus will now automatically move to the package weight field, streamlining the input process.
Error Handling Improvements
- Enhanced error feedback to provide clearer and more actionable error messages.
- Improved parsing of responses when generating shipping labels, reducing errors.
Blind Ship Feature Adjustments
- In blind shipping, the system will now swap company and contact names to reflect customer names when processing an order, ensuring accurate shipping information.
